Retouching varnish for oil Winsor&Newton spray

Winsor&Newton Retouching varnish spray is a quick-drying, UV-resistant gloss varnish that provides temporary protection for recently completed oil paintings. It evens out surface sheen, allowing the paint film to cure while safeguarding against dust and environmental damage. Unlike permanent varnishes, it can be overpainted, making it ideal for artists who wish to continue working.

Apply in thin layers to a touch-dry painting. Once the final paint layers have fully dried (typically after six months), a permanent varnish can be applied for long-term protection. Spray the varnish evenly from a distance of about 20-30cm. Shake the spray can thoroughly before use and work in a well ventilated area.
